Unity in Diversity Christmas Tree
November 16, 2010Im excited this coming Christmas for many reasons. One of which is the project of Dusit Thani Hotel Manila.
This year, walk through an expression of all things unified without uniformity, diversified without division as Dusit Thani Manila provides all its valued guests a uniquely festive Christmas atmosphere as it celebrates the most awaited season of the year with the theme Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree! Unity in Diversity.
Being home to the country’s shakers and movers, multinational corporations and famous personalities, Dusit Thani Manila aims to put together a symbolism of oneness by gathering a distinctive ensemble of Christmas Trees created by Dusit Thani Manila’s cream of the crop.
In this regard, Dusit Thani Manila invited 12 individuals and companies to join in this Christmas endeavor and unite in the spirit of the season by providing their very own symbolic Christmas Tree that best evokes their existence in the industry they are in.
Personalities and companies include Canon, Celine Lopez, HSBC, Lifestyle Asia Magazine, Lyceum of the Philippines University, Rajo Laurel, School of Fashion and Arts, Teddy Manuel, Tesoro’s Philippine Handicrafts, Tessa Prieto Valdes, Thai Airways and Tim Yap.
The hotel also invites all its in-house and dining guests as well as Facebook friends to cast their votes for the best Christmas Tree, where a Php100,000.00 will be donated to the winning entry’s chosen charity. Voting is from November 16 to December 25, 2010.

Ask Teddy: Transformation 101?
September 27, 2010Recently I was challenged to Transform a meeting room to modern and edgy five star Hotel. The venue was Meeting Room 4-6 of SMX. I' am fortunate to do the task as their event stylist knowing all the limitations of the venue i presented a design that they approved.
The New Radisson Blu Cebu launched their hotel in Manila last 23 September 2010 for invited press and media. Today they officially open the hotel.

Here are some tips to create "transformation" in your future events/parties or wedding.
1. Make an ocular visit of the venue, bring camera and set an appointment with the banquet officer regarding rules and regulations.
2. Measure the vertical and area of the venue. I brought in 10ft panels and i was surprise it does not fit that i have to re work the panels on the spot.
3. Come up with propose design and layout to your clients
4. Consider additional lighting.
5. Plan for contingencies and logistics
6. Rule- you either work on existing architectural elements or totally fabricate everything to create the look that you like and your client wants.
7. Always think of fabulousity!

September 19, 2010Im so happy to launch my new Website and my new Blog in one site!
Finally, I have an outlet to share my recent works and to give you an idea on what im designing right now. Of course tips and suggestions are welcome on how to make your wedding memorable.
I'll be posting pictures and share stories on how we create spectacular floral designs. So, if you have not already, check out the website. I have changed the whole look of it, and added a bunch of new photos ! I hope you like it..
To organize my blog I created categories for easy browsing.
1. Simple Things to Go - small nitty-gritty ideas that can create big impact on your wedding.
2. Ask Teddy? - I will answer some of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) from wedding related, business aspect and some personal matters that affect me and you.
3. Spotlight - I will feature as many as possible "people" behind the wedding scenes who make spectacular weddings that can be source of inspirations.
4. Feature Wedding - from my past and recent brides and grooms and of course i would love to hear from others too just keep on sending.
5. Events - Updates about our where about and activities to keep you posted.
6. To do - mostly things that i like to do! you will get to know the other side of me ( tough one)!
